The Brief:

For this extensive home refurbishment in Wandsworth, our clients wanted to transform their ground floor into a bright, cohesive living space. The primary objective was to design a modern kitchen that felt open and airy, perfectly suited for both busy family mornings and evening entertaining. As a central part of a full property renovation, the kitchen needed to strike a balance between high-end aesthetics and everyday durability. 

The Design:

To create a timeless look that wouldn’t overwhelm the space, we opted for a light kitchen palette. We combined soft, neutral tones with a matt finish to ensure the cabinetry felt understated yet sophisticated. By choosing a handleless kitchen design from Rotpunkt, we achieved clean, uninterrupted lines that enhance the sense of space within the room, complemented by the elegant herringbone flooring that runs throughout the living area. 

The layout features a grand island that serves as the centrepiece, providing ample space for food preparation and casual dining. For the worksurfaces, we selected a premium Dekton stone with delicate veining, which beautifully reflects the natural light pouring in from the new bi-fold doors. To ensure the space remained functional for a keen home cook, we integrated state-of-the-art appliances and a sleek, easy-to-clean splashback that adds a subtle touch of texture to the overall design. 

The Result:

The finished project is a testament to how thoughtful design can elevate a home refurbishment. By focusing on a modern kitchen aesthetic with a minimalist handleless profile, we created a sanctuary that feels both luxurious and lived-in. This Wandsworth home now boasts a bright, functional hub that flows seamlessly into the rest of the refurbished property, meeting the client’s brief for a stylish yet practical family environment.
