Project Notes: Home Bar & Open Shelving, Fulham

The Brief: 

For this elegant residence near our Fulham showroom, our clients wanted to introduce a sophisticated entertaining space that felt like a permanent, luxurious feature of the room. The objective was to design a bespoke home bar and display area that could house an extensive collection of spirits and glassware while also providing a warm, ambient focal point for the lounge. It needed to bridge the gap between functional storage and high-end furniture design. 

The Design: 

To create a sense of depth and luxury, we combined rich wood textures with sleek, dark framing. We drew inspiration from our modern kitchen designs, utilising clean lines and high-quality materials to ensure the installation felt contemporary yet timeless. The cabinetry features a mix of closed storage and stunning glass-fronted display units, allowing the clients to showcase their collection behind subtle, dark-framed doors. 

Central to this design is the integrated lighting. We used recessed LED strips within the open shelving and display cabinets to create a soft, inviting glow that catches the glassware and highlights the wood grain. For the counter space, we selected premium Dekton with striking gold and grey veining, providing a durable surface for preparing drinks that ties the entire colour palette together. The addition of minimalist black handles provides a tactile, modern touch that complements the overall aesthetic. 

The Result: 

The finished project is a masterclass in how bespoke cabinetry can transform a living space. This Fulham home now features a stunning social hub that feels both intimate and grand. As functional as it is beautiful, this space is perfectly suited for a designer home.
