Felden Road – Kitchen and Bedroom Wardrobes
Kitchen
Project Notes: Felden Road, Fulham – Kitchen
The Brief:
For this project on Felden Road, near our Fulham showroom, the challenge was to create a high-impact, social kitchen that felt integrated into a large, open-plan living area. Our clients wanted a space that felt warm and lived-in but maintained a distinct, high-end edge. The goal was to combine contrasting textures—natural wood grains and industrial metallics—to create a “broken-plan” feel where the kitchen, dining, and lounging areas flow together effortlessly.
The Design:
We opted for a sophisticated dual-tone palette to define different zones of the room. The main cooking run features a light kitchen base to keep the space feeling open, while the tall units and pantry area are finished in a deep, textured wood grain. This creates a striking visual anchor for the room. To maintain the sleek, architectural feel the client desired, we utilised a handleless profile for the lower cabinetry, paired with minimalist black bar handles on the larger pantry doors.
A standout feature of this modern kitchen is the industrial-inspired splashback, which brings a rugged, metallic texture that contrasts beautifully with the warm oak dining table. We also paid close attention to the lighting design; oversized amber glass pendants hang over the dining area, while integrated LED strips under the wall units and within the open shelving of the bespoke bar area provide a soft, layered glow for evening entertaining. High-end built-in appliances, including a large American-style fridge freezer, ensure the space is as functional as it is stylish.
The Result:
The final result is a kitchen that truly functions as the heart of this Fulham home. By carefully balancing the warmth of the wood with the cool, modern lines of the handleless cabinetry, we’ve created a space that feels both expansive and intimate. It’s a perfect example of how a modern kitchen can be designed to cater to both professional-level cooking and relaxed family life.
Wardrobes
Project Notes: Bedroom Wardrobes
The Brief:
In the upper floors of this Felden Road, Fulham property, the focus shifted to creating a sense of calm and order. The client required bespoke storage solutions for their bedrooms that felt like a natural part of the architecture rather than added furniture. The brief was to maximise every inch of available space—including tricky alcoves and hallway transitions—while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic.
The Design:
For these fitted wardrobes, we chose a soft, neutral palette that complements the bright, airy feel of the bedrooms. The floor-to-ceiling cabinetry features a smooth matt finish, which helps the large surface area of the doors feel light and unobtrusive. To add a touch of contemporary detail, we integrated long, bespoke timber handles that run vertically down the doors, providing a warm, tactile element that mirrors the wood textures found elsewhere in the home.
Inside, the wardrobes are fully customised to the client’s lifestyle. We included a mix of hanging rails, internal drawers, and dedicated shelving, all finished in a rich wood effect to create a luxury “boutique hotel” feel when opened. Integrated sensor lighting within the units ensures total visibility and adds an extra layer of refinement. We also utilised the space on the landing and under-stairs transitions to build seamless storage that blends perfectly with the home’s minimalist decor.
The Result:
The completed bedroom project in Fulham demonstrates how bespoke cabinetry can streamline a home. These fitted wardrobes provide vast amounts of storage without compromising the sense of space or serenity in the rooms. The combination of the soft-touch finish and the natural wood detailing ensures these bedrooms remain tranquil, organised sanctuaries that perfectly suit the modern aesthetic of the rest of the house.
