Project Notes: Ravenslea Road, Wandsworth

The Brief:

Our clients at Ravenslea Road in Wandsworth approached us with a clear vision: they wanted a bold, industrial-inspired space that remained warm and welcoming for family life. As a key project for our Wandsworth Showroom, the goal was to design a Modern Kitchen that maximised the high ceilings of the property while maintaining a sleek, minimalist profile.

The Design:

To achieve this architectural look, we turned to our German Kitchen partner, Rotpunkt. We specified a Grey Kitchen palette, utilising a Matt Kitchen finish with a concrete-effect texture. This tactile surface is not only visually striking but also incredibly practical for a Handleless Kitchen, as it naturally resists fingerprints and daily wear.

The design is centred around a monolithic Island Kitchen layout, which we wrapped in a dark Sintered Stone worktop to create a seamless, solid-block appearance. To contrast the cool, industrial tones, we integrated bespoke Lighting beneath the wall units. This creates a soft glow that highlights the texture of the Splashback and transforms the room into an atmospheric social space in the evenings.

The Result:

This Ravenslea Road project perfectly demonstrates how a dark, Industrial-style aesthetic can be executed with elegance. By combining high-performance Appliances with premium Worksurfaces, we have created a kitchen that is as much a design statement as it is a functional hub for the home.
